Genre: Psychological, sci-fi, comedy, adventure, romance, drama, slice of life.
Episodes: 50
Plot:
Set in a world where Trapar waves (Transparence Light Particles) existed. The most important use of Trapar energy is its use as a method of propulsion for flight-capable vehicles. The story was about boy named Renton Thurston, who became a member of Gekkostate in order to become close to his idol Holland. Gekkostate is an anti-government militia and counterculture collective led by Holland. Eureka, an aloof, pale girl, pilots an LFO called the Nirvash typeZERO (The mecha of Eureka Seven are called "Light Finding Operation", commonly abbreviated to LFO. LFOs are humanoid alien skeletons excavated from the Scub Coral that have been fitted with armor and control systems. Military LFOs are known as KLFs (for "Kraft Light Fighter"). LFOs are able to fly by exploiting the same principles of lifting — Trapar particles.) After joining Gekkostate early in the series, Renton co-pilots the Nirvash with Eureka and develop a bond together.
Review:
If you liked Neon Genesis Evangelion, then you would probably like Eureka Seven as well. This anime is so cheesy great! Maybe because you can only find a good show when it had the potential to make you go to its own world and feel the ambience and emotion of it, that's what Eureka Seven had to offer. After watching the first episode, there's no way I CANNOT watch the next ones. For some people who doesn't like the Mech Genre, I still recommend you to watch this as long as you can appreciate sci-fi themed animes. The story was exciting and funny, there are many secrets revealed within its storyline which was why it made me watch it non-stop. It had a bittersweet ending and don't forget to bring along tissue paper just in case you're soft hearted person. The action scenes are not that good but the animation frame-rate was superb, and the characters seem nice, you can actually read their lips due to the detailed animation.
Best ways to watch
Can appreciate mechs, sci-fi, romance, and drama themed animes.
